As part of their study tour, 18 students from our Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Business Administration programmes specialising in Tourism & Hospitality Management recently visited Macau. We were privileged to have Grand Lisboa host a tour for us, and we also took the opportunity to visit as many of the 28 casinos as possible on an informal basis.
Our group was briefed on the overall operations of a casino. Areas such as customer service, marketing, VIPs and membership loyalty systems were also covered during the study tour.
Dr Jürgen Rudolph, ERCI’s Chief Operating Officer, who accompanied the students said, “We are very grateful for the continued support of Grand Lisboa and its management who provided our students with an expertly conducted tour of the casino and hotel facilities as well as the wonderful hospitality they displayed throughout the tour”.
The students too were in praise of the tour as it was useful and beneficial. Ms Serene Chia, the Singaporean Director of Marketing for Grand Lisboa, said that the casino was pleased that the students benefited from the tour as it had given them the opportunity to gain practical knowledge of a gaming operation.
