ERC Institute Contributes to Formula 1’s 1st Ever Night Race - 22nd September 2008

ERC Institute will help to make a major milestone in Singapore’s racing history a further success by involving their students in the country’s first ever Formula 1 Grand Prix this upcoming weekend.

This first ever night F1 Grand Prix , will be held from the 26th to the 28th of September 2008. It is predicted to be an eventful and exciting event by F1 race organizers & sponsors, F1 race teams and F1 fans alike. The first ever night race, the Singapore Grand Prix will hosts some tight corners and narrow roads, amidst the breath-taking metropolitan skyline view filled with colourful lightings.

50 students from the various programmes have already signed up to contribute to the event, as Service Crews for Italian cuisine restaurant, Bistro Senso. Students will be involved in serving the guests on board the Singapore flyer for the three days event.

Apart from having the opportunity to gain some work relevance & experience, students will also enjoy a spectacular view of the F1 race from onboard a Singapore flyer capsule. The 4metres by 7metres capsule will rotate and each capsule will dangle at a highest point of 165metres. That will give the students a bird’s eye view of the whole race course and race layout. The elevated view will be a rare one not even available to those sitting in the grandstands.

Students cannot wait for the upcoming weekends as many value this as a once in a life-time opportunity to gain working experience and enjoy the Formula 1 treat. Students also added that the most beneficial part of the three days experience, is the part where they get remunerated for their efforts.
