Career and Investment Fair 2010 - 30th January 2010

ERC Executive Search organized its inaugural Career & Investment Fair at Suntec Singapore Concourse on 30 January 2010. The event saw over 39 companies taking part as exhibitors presenting employment and investment opportunities to visitors at the fair. In addition, ERC Institute, the fair’s main sponsor, was also on hand to provide education and upgrading options to visitors.

The event was held in the wake of the economic crisis in an effort to promote employment opportunities in Singapore’s SMEs. Visitors were encouraged to visit all the booths to find out what positions were available, and as such, potential employers were able to network and hunt for the right people to fill in the positions on offer. In addition, the event offered an interactive platform for visitors to listen to what industry experts had to say about a wide spectrum of investment avenues made available after the economic crisis.

ERC Executive Search would like to thank all corporate partners that took part in the event, as well as all visitors for coming down to the event. The event would not have been a success if not for the presence of all who took part. ERC Executive Search looks forward to hosting the event again in 2011.

Making It right: ERCI to Help affected Brookes Students - 31st July 2009

The fraudulent activities resulting in the closure of Brookes Business School has affected and impacted on not only students, but the private education industry in Singapore significantly. As a member of the Association of Private Schools & Colleges (APSC), ERC Institute endorses and supports APSC’s and the Government’s policy on maintaining/improving the professionalism, quality and ethical standards of the industry and denounces the gross misconduct of Brookes Business School to everyone, particularly the students.

ERC Institute sympathizes with the situation facing Brookes Business School students. To assist those affected students by the closure of Brookes Business School, ERC Institute, through our association with APSC, has volunteered to assist with the reallocation of Brookes Business School students, to ensure that they are still able to continue their learning journey and achieve their academic objectives. As a result of our commitment and willingness to assist, as well as being a professionally and academically rigorous SQC PEO, ERC Institute was amongst the select 5 private education institutes invited by APSC to assist affected students and deploy them to other private schools so as to enable them to continue and complete their studies.

Through our participation into this committee, ERC Institute pledges to provide the necessary equitable assistance to affected students by:

1. Evaluating and assessing their academic needs on a case-by-case basis

2. Providing affected students with the opportunity to study a first diploma/degree at ERC Institute for free.

To date, ERC Institute has assisted in the relocation of some 40 affected students to continue their education at ERC Institute for free. We believe that our assistance to these students has helped them to better cope, financially and academically with the unfortunate situation that they are in.

ERC Institute takes this opportunity to stress our commitment towards improving the private education industry in Singapore. We are advocates for professional and ethical behavior, strong corporate governance, integrity and social responsibility to be upheld by private schools & colleges in Singapore to ensure sustainable long-term growth in line with the Government’s policy to encourage Singapore in becoming an education hub.

ERC Institute would also like to extend our assistance to any other affected students at Brookes Business School, and strongly encourage them to contact any of our consultants as soon as possible for free evaluation and placement into ERC Institute.
