The CSS has recently held a New Year Party to celebrate the
"Spring Festival" with all Chinese students, staff and other
nationalities friends on 25th January 2013.They have used their own way to send
their best wishes to everybody.
Every guest was welcomed with a HongBao by the CSS(Chinese Student
Society) team members as the HongBao stands for prosperity in China.
PEACOCK DANCE
Peacock Dance is the classical Chinese dance. Two beautiful
Chinese girls form ERCI performed the dance gracefully as the party begins. It is a very elegant dance with classical
music showcasing graceful and sophisticated Chinese Culture.
FASHION SHOW
Another highlight was the fashion show. 8 students wore various
traditional clothes from Qing Dynasty to the Republic of People. Chinese
culture was fully exhibited during the show. Audience was also amazed by the
beauty of the clothes.
VIETNAMESE SINGING
The support of our friends—Vietnamese Student Society and Indian
Student Society was gratefully appreciated. Their guitar player had played it very
well along with the wonderful singing. The motivation they had explained the
spirit of teamwork among diversified nationalities.
BEATBOX
The whole party's highlight was the beatboxing performance. The
talented student made all sorts of music sounds by only using his mouth. His
professional performance perfectly rocked everyone's heart. He also managed to
show Gangnam Style in a very different way, which absolutely opened audience's
eyes.
Thanks to our Emcee, it's impossible to hold a successful party
without their active performances.
The CSS committee was honored to have the opportunity to organize
this event and through this platform, displayed the esprit-de-corp spirit among
not only the Chinese students but also peers from other nationalities across
the globe.
