ERC Institute Student Council

The ERCI Student Council is a student body that is committed to serve as a channel to facilitate ERC Institute Students’ learning activities, aspirations and wishes. What started off as a small group of passionate and inspired students comprising of Li Nan, Jevan, Lucy and Vilasini who decided to get together in 2009 to form a student body to represent the ERCI student voice, the ERCI Student Council has today grown to a team of 15 members from various countries such as China, Indonesia, Vietnam, Myanmar and India.

Currently managed by the 2nd generation of student leaders, the ERCI Student Council has successfully organized many events with the aim of uniting ERCI students despite their different cultures and nationalities. The Student Council aims to add variety, spice, colour and different yet positive experiences to students during their studies with ERC Institute. Student Council members also enjoy a learning journey filled with leadership experiences, responsibility and group dynamics – all of which are important skills valued in the working world.

The ERCI Student Council’s vision and mission serve as a fundamental guide for its members to focus on building the kind of future we would like to see for ERCI. Any form of success and growth the team has achieved so far would not have been possible without the support of our fellow students, supporters and of course, the teacher-in-charge, Mr Melvyn Tan. With this in mind, the ERCI Student Council aims to further its cause and in time to come, establish a larger and more active ERCI student body.
